In history lessons, Year 5 pupils have been handling authentic and replica artefacts as part of their investigation into the famous Tudor warship, the Mary Rose.
Pupils got a chance to touch actual rope and timber from the ship, which sank just off the coast of Portsmouth in 1545 but was raised from the seabed in 1982. They also worked in groups to identify different replica artefacts, the materials they were made from and the crew member who would have used them.
