Medical Centre

The health and well-being of our children is paramount to Danes Hill and our Medical Centre provides a high standard of physical and mental health care. We have experienced, Registered Nurses on site in our fully equipped Medical Centre at the Prep School.

Mrs Anna Corbett, Nursing Manager, BSc (Hons) RN
Miss Leanne Baker, School Nurse BSc RN

A pupil’s health is directly related to his or her ability to learn. The School Nurses address the physical, chronic, mental, emotional, and social health needs of students and support their achievement in the learning process.

Injured or unwell children are cared for in the Medical Centre and Anna and Leanne also attend the Pre-Prep regularly and as required. Parents will be contacted if we feel that pupils are too unwell to remain in school or if an injury needs further medical attention.

A Medical Centre Handbook provides access to all medical and first aid policies, medical publications, forms and first aid qualifications as a comprehensive guide and ensuring easy access for staff, parents and visitors.

The Medical Centre is supported by a School Doctor, Dr Richard Draper, and is a member of the Medical Officers of Schools’ Association (MOSA) providing breadth of knowledge, education and support.

Medical Forms and Information

We ask that parents of new pupils complete a Confidential Medical Form prior to joining, and that any changes to medical history are emailed to the nurse@daneshill.surrey.sch.uk at any time during the school year.  We ask that prescribed medicines are accompanied by an Administration of Prescribed Medicine form (as below).

It is also very important that parents let the Nurses know via email if children have had any medication prior to coming to school.

If any policies or documents need further clarification or you would like to talk to the School Nurses, please call the Medical Centre on 01372 849235 or email nurse@daneshill.surrey.sch.uk.
