Danes Hill House Art Competition

27th March 2019

Following the success of the Big Draw event, Upper School pupils were invited to submit artwork for the Danes Hill House Art Competition. The art department encouraged the participants to paint, draw or photograph to win house points and bespoke art sets. The buzzword ‘Play’ acted as the stimulus for interpretation by the artists. The art department would like to commend all pupils who took part for their creativity and dedication towards the visual arts.

A selection of the artwork is on display in the Ark Foyer for parents and children to enjoy. The winners of the House Art Competition were, T Schultheiss who drew a piece titled ‘An Instrument’ in pencil, N Prinsloo who created an artwork using watercolour and C Dempster who used acrylic to paint his masterpiece entitled, ‘Play’.
