On Saturday 13 January, the girls games department organised an U11 netball tournament. There were 11 schools entered into the competition with two pools of round robin matches. The competition was outstanding and a fantastic level of netball play by all of the teams. After these set of matches the teams were put into a Cup or a Plate round robin tournament. The Danes Hill U11 team qualified for the Plate Competition. They won 2 matches against Hawthorns and st Teresas and were unlucky to loose 2 matches against Claremont and Downsend. They finished the tournament in 3rd place position. It was a great start to the season and a fantastic way to see the squad have the opportunity to play in many different positions. Congratulations to all of the teams who played in this tournament and well done to Hoe Bridge who were undefeated in the whole tournament and winning the cup competition.
