Danes Hill Hockey Tournament Success

4th October 2021

On Saturday 2 October, the U11 A girls’ hockey team competed in an invitational tournament hosted at Danes Hill. The tournament was comprised of six teams, played in a round-robin format. The girls started off well with a 2-0 win over local rivals Feltonfleet, followed by Royal Russell beating them 2-1. In their third game, they came against St George’s, in a tightly contested affair, the girls emerged the victors, winning 1-0. Their next game was against Holy Cross, where they recorded a 1-0 win. This meant in their final game against Downsend, they required at least a draw to win the tournament. In an incredibly tight affair, the score ended 1-1. This meant Danes Hill were crowned as the champions. Well done to all the girls involved!
