The Year 1 children came to visit Mrs Lack at the Main School today. They were very excited to see the children and teachers, these visits are important to create a seamless move from Bevendean to the Main School in September. Mrs Lack read them a story, The Fish Who Could Wish and they listened carefully to the tale of the little fish. After their story Mr Andrews enthusiastically told the children about the fish tank in the science lab, this amazing aquarium has many exciting species of fish in it and the children enjoy viewing the fish as they go to their lessons. The Year 1 children have many opportunities to visit the Main School in preparation for their move into Year 2. This includes a design and technology afternoon, a games skills session and a library visit later in the term. Today, A Harrison said he was so excited to move up to the Main School and he cant wait to meet his teacher! The Year 1 children had an amazing visit and we cant wait to see them in a few weeks back up at the Main School.

- Pre-Prep
Pre-Prep
The first three years of school – Nursery and Reception – are together called the Early Years. The Danes Hill Pre-Prep school aims to help all children to take their first learning steps in comfort, safety and confidence.
- Prep
Prep
The Prep School is divided into the Junior School (Years 2 to 5), and Upper School (Years 6 to 8), each with its own Head, its own assemblies and traditions, and very much its own ethos. Children are encouraged to feel allegiance to their own particular section of the school, and this sectional subdivision ensures that the school never feels overwhelmingly big.
