Year 2 have thoroughly enjoyed their first week at the Main School, settling into their new classes, meeting new teachers and exploring the grounds, swimming pool, classrooms and playground. In their previous year at Bevendean, the children visit the Main School frequently to familiarise themselves with the grounds with activities in the library with Mrs Keat and sports events with the games teachers. They have settled brilliantly into Year 2 and are excited for the next 2 years in Lower School with Mrs Lack.
Each Friday, the children are rewarded with Golden Hour time, this is a time to reflect on their achievements from the week and enjoy some free time in the classroom to partake in various activities. This week the children had demonstrated amazing behaviour in and out of the class room and were rewarded with their Golden Hour. This afternoon, in Miss Burkes class some of the children were tackling a 500 piece puzzle and colouring some beautiful elephant pictures. Mrs Greens class were enjoying some role-play in the pop-out hospital and post office whilst Mrs Joyces class were building fantastic castles with the building blocks. What a great start to Lower School life!
