Townsend-Warner Prize

27th March 2019

The Townsend-Warner Prize has been a competition for preparatory schools for over a hundred years. This year over 1,040 candidates entered, from 78 preparatory schools. There are two papers, paper 1 has 100 quick answer questions and the top 25% from that paper qualify for paper 2 which has four essays to complete in two hours. This year R Hammond and P Jarrett from Year 8, sat paper 2 and both did very well. P Jarrett came 39th overall and received a certificate and a prize.
