The afternoon sunshine was irresistible today and prompted our Year 4 pupils to seize the chance to enjoy their library books on the serene Head's Lawn. Throughout the lesson, teachers invited pupils for individual reading sessions. Meanwhile, Mrs Keat our wonderful Librarian was readily ...available, recommending fantastic reads to accompany the children through the weekend. A Year 4 student secured the coveted Library armchair, a cherished reading nook within our peaceful Library, and settled in comfortably, preparing for an afternoon immersed in books.

Today marked a momentous occasion for the Bevendean community as they gathered for their annual class photos. Mrs Samson and Mr Brown greeted the pupils and parents at the school gate with warmth and excitement, setting the tone for the day. This week, our Bevendean pupils eagerly greeted Mr. Brown at the Pre-Prep site, setting the stage for an exciting morning! After lending a hand to Mrs Samson in her customary duty of welcoming pupils and parents at the front gate, Mr Brown engaged with the Year 1 School Council and delighted ...children in Reception and Year 1 with his reading. Mr. Brown's enthusiasm to connect with the school community was palpable, and our Bevendean community embraced him wholeheartedly!

Today our music department warmly welcomed the enthusiastic Year 2 pupils for an immersive and exhilarating String Quartet Workshop. Our talented String Quartet treated the Year 2 pupils to a captivating performance, leaving them spellbound and inspired.

Following the performance, our ...passionate musicians invited the Year 2 pupils to explore the world of strings firsthand. Guided by our skilled peripatetic teachers and senior pupils, the children eagerly embraced the opportunity to experience the magic of each instrument, their faces lighting up with joy and excitement as they plucked, bowed, and strummed their way through melodies.
