On Wednesday 27 February, the U11 Girls’ Hockey team travelled to Reigate Grammar School for the Surrey Championships.
Danes Hill faced 5 tough games on a very hot day in an attempt to qualify for the South Regional Competition.
The girls played some fantastic hockey in their opening game, beating Feltonfleet 5-1. In our second game, a number of injuries unfortunately contributed to a narrow 1-0 loss to Cranleigh Prep.
After beating St Teresas 4-0 Danes Hill then lost to a talented St Georges team 4-0. In the final game of the day, the girls put on a wonderful performance to beat CLFS 6-0 and now wait to see if 3rd place will be enough for qualification for the Regional Round.
All of the girls played brilliantly throughout the day and competed with a smile on their face and in the right spirit throughout.
Congratulations to all of the girls involved on their Bronze medals!
