On Wednesday 11 October the U11A team travelled to Woking Hockey Club to take part in the Hoe Bridge Schools Annual Hockey Tournament. In the group stages the girls beat St Teresas 3-0, lost to St Georges 3-2, drew 0-0 against Edgeborough and won 1-0 against Hawthorns. This resulted in the girls finishing in second place in their pool. The girls met St Pirans in the semi-finals and this was a fast paced game and the girls unfortunately lost 2-0. The girls then played Hazlewood in the 3rd/4th play-off. Having played them at last weeks tournament the girls knew this was going to be a competitive game. After some gallant defending the girls unfortunately lost 1-0.
The girls went from strength to strength throughout the tournament and they should be proud of their performances. Best of luck to the girls for the IAPS Tournament on Monday fingers crossed for them!
