On Wednesday 22 March, the U10 A hockey team played in the Surrey Hockey Cup. This tournament always provides a high level of competitive matches with the best schools in Surrey being represented. The team played some fantastic hockey in very inclement weather showing their dedication and desire to win. The results were:
Downsend Lost 2-1 losing in a last second goal.
CLFS Won 3-1
Hawthorns Won 1-0
Cranleigh Won 1-0
Hoe Bridge Lost 1-0 losing in a very tight game which could have easily gone either way.
This placed Danes Hill in 3rd place overall. This is very encouraging for the future of this hockey team and we very much look forward the next hockey term. Well done to all the girls!
