On Saturday 21 January, Danes Hill hosted the annual ‘H’ Garside Memorial Netball Tournament. This tournament is held every year in memory of Heather Garside, known as ‘H’ by colleagues and parents, who was the Head of Girls’ Games at Danes Hill for 17 years. ‘H’ sadly passed away of lung cancer in 2010. The tournament is always very popular showing just how valued ‘H’ was amongst local schools. The girls showed great improvement throughout the morning and came 4th place overall. The girls are now ready to work hard for the season ahead and the upcoming major tournaments. Well done girls and good luck for the Surrey Netball Tournament on Wednesday!
