Hawthorns Rounders Tournament

On Saturday 10 June the 1st, 2nd and U11A teams travelled to Hawthorns for their annual rounders tournament. The tournament consisted of 7 teams and as they were the best in the area, it was a tough competition. The U11s played some fantastic rounders, however, they did not progress to the semifinals. The second team showed an improved performance throughout the morning. They finished a respectable 7th place having played A teams throughout the tournament. The 1st team played brilliantly throughout the tournament. They showed tactical awareness and were determined to do well. They lost only one match which meant the girls finished in second place, well done! This was the Year 8’s final match at Danes Hill and their determination and willingness to improve has been a credit to the school. We wish them all the best in their new schools!
