On Friday 10 March the ‘Time Will Tell’ theatre company visited Danes Hill School. The company performed a play for the Year 7 children about King John and the problems he faced. They posed the question, was he such a bad king’?
After the performance, Year 7 looked at some medieval artefacts, such as swords and helmets. They then had to do some acting of their own and produce scenes such as a medieval battle, or a coronation.
This fitted in nicely with Year 7’s history next year as King John could be their source work in their Common Entrance examination.
