Recently, a group of Danes Hill children took the opportunity to visit some of the countrys top hockey players and watch some thrilling matches at the National Indoor Hockey Super 6s at Wembley Arena.
It was certainly a Sunday well spent as the young enthusiasts got to see a host of exciting and entertaining matches. There was plenty for the boys and girls to learn with some of the hockey on display being of the highest quality. It was beneficial for them to see the level of skill, dedication and teamwork it requires to get to the top. In the end, the ladies competition was won by Slough and the biggest cheer of the day went to local team Surbiton, who were the winners of the men’s competition.
There was an extra treat for those in attendance as they got to see the Team GB Ladies Olympic gold medal winning team as they carried out a lap of honour. No doubt this trip will have inspired some of our children to strive for future gold medals!
