Science Trip To Tenerife 2016

13th August 2018

A team of 27 budding volcanologists ventured into the largest lava tube in Europe on the Northern Coast of Tenerife. They were able to go swimming in pools carved out from Lava, jumping off some high cliffs into the refreshing Atlantic sea. Tenerife has the least light pollution in Europe and they were able to see Jupiter and Galileo’s moons along with Saturn and another galaxy in detail. The trip finished in style with the party observing a school of pilot whales and three different types of dolphin.
