School Council Gather to Make Important Decisions

13th August 2018

The newly-elected School Council gathered to make important decisions about the snacks at morning break this week. The catering department brought the proposed new snacks for tasting by the 30 Upper School representatives. The Council discussed the fine balance between having tasty snacks and making nutritious choices.

As the meeting progressed, the students voted on sacking the gingerbread men and employing sausage rolls in their place. They also called for a more interesting biscuit than the humble digestive on a Monday morning. Lucy Dwan, School Council Captain, gathered the votes and thanked the Catering staff for giving the pupils the opportunity to voice their opinions.  School uniform will be discussed in their next meeting and the Council will debate whether or not to launch a pupil referendum.
