On Saturday 9 February the U12A, U11A and U11B teams all competed in a U12 hockey tournament at Woldingham School.

The teams were divided into two pools. The U12A and U11A were placed in one pool and the U11B in the other. The U12A and U11A teams had an exciting start, competing against each other. The score was U12A winning 2-0. The U12A team continued to play well, winning both of their next two games putting them in 1st place in their pool. This meant they went through to the semi- finals against Kent College U12 A team and won 1-0. In the final they faced Thomas’s Clapham U12A team, this was the toughest match of the morning however the girls rose to the occasion, winning 1-0 in the final.

The U11A team had also had a fantastic morning, winning 1 game, drawing 1 and losing 1. This put them in 2nd place in their pool. In the semi-finals they came up against the winners of apposing pool, Kent College. The girls played well, narrowly losing by 1 goal. Overall the girls finished in 4th place.

The U11B showed extreme determination throughout the tournament, getting progressively better as each match went on. In their third game against Woldingham U12C team the girls demonstrated a high skill level with E Langham scoring a goal for the team. Overall the team came 5th in their pool, this is an excellent achievement and the girls should be very proud of themselves playing in the age group above.
