On Tuesday 1 May, Danes Hill U10 girls were lucky enough to participate in a masterclass with England cricket sensation, Hannah Jones. Hannah has represented England internationally and is one of the youngest fully qualified female cricket coaches in the United Kingdom to successfully complete her level 2 Certificate in Coaching Cricket with the Surrey Cricket Foundation.
Hannah ran the girls through a number of cricket drills, with the aim to build the players confidence in this newly introduced sport to Danes Hill Girls Games. The U10s were highly engaged and extremely enthusiastic throughout the masterclass.
After the masterclass, the girls were lucky enough to interview Hannah in a question and answer session. It was evident Hannah inspired the girls to pursue cricket outside of school, as many of the questions were related to her journey in becoming an International representative.
Hannah finished the session with demonstrating her bowling technique, at which the girls were in awe of.
