This week, Year 7 were excited to welcome Zoe from ‘Think Maths’ to Danes Hill for a workshops on the maths behind magic. The sessions were a great opportunity to show the children the wider world of maths beyond the classroom, and helped develop invaluable mathematical thinking skills along the way. The workshops were highly interactive and gave all children the opportunity to learn a variety of different tricks. All the children were then challenged to reverse engineer these tricks to try and understand how and why they worked. A huge thank you to Zoe and the ‘Think Maths’ team for a fantastic day.
