The Annual Senior Boys’ Rugby Dinner was held this evening at Danes Hill for the Year 7 and 8 boys, their parents and teachers. The dinner is a celebration of the sporting achievements in both rowing and rugby. The boys were very excited to meet their special guest, Nick Evans, a New Zealand rugby player. Nick played club rugby with the East Coast Bays Rugby Club in the North Harbour Premiers. He made his All Blacks debut aged 23 against England in 2004. Nick joined Harlequins shortly after this, regularly putting in many man of the match performances. After his 2017 retirement, Nick embarked upon a highly successful coaching career. Following their delicious dinner, the boys heard from Nick Evans and took part in a sports Quiz, hosted by Head of Boys’ Sport, Mr Bennett.
