Reception were treated to a special visit this week from Ranger Stu, The Animal Man, as part of their animal and habitat topic. This was an activity that really got the children stuck into their learning as Ranger Stu presented a variety of animals and asked what the children already knew about them, as well as teaching them some more interesting facts.
The children were thrilled to have such a hands-on experience with real animals, bringing their studies to life. Some of the children got the chance to help Ranger Stu when he presented each animal, and perhaps the most exciting part of his visit was the opportunity for all the children to stroke a snake, and when Mr Jarvis held a tarantula!
