Oratory History Competition

13th August 2018

On Tuesday 21 November, S. Ali, Z. Leong Doherty, H. Bryant and A. Scott were escorted by Mr Hughes to the Oratory for the finals of the Oratory History Competition. It was an exciting and educational day, beginning with a history puzzle about the triangular lodge. In the afternoon, the children took part in a challenging history general knowledge quiz, followed by a master class on Tudor tennis – a mix between tennis and squash.

The prize giving at the end of the day was a great success for Danes Hill, winning overall with S. Ali and Z. Leong Doherty being Highly Commended, H. Bryant was a runner-up, and A. Scott came first. The children made themselves and the school proud – congratulations to them for their success, and many thanks to Mr Hughes for accompanying them to the competition.
