Pupils have been working very hard on their art scholarship for their chosen Senior Schools. Crochet is a process of creating textiles by using a crochet hook to interlock loops of yarn, thread or other strands of materical. Using this technique, one pupil, L Molina-Pethers has created a range of incredible pieces to submit for her scholarship, from a tiny toadstool and a worm wearing a hat to a beautiful jumper and a huge thick grey cosy blanket. Each year our Year 8 children are awarded scholarships to various Senior Schools, last year 48 scholarships were awarded to our leavers for sports, academics, art, music and drama.
