The U9 or Y4 A and B team attended the Downsend 6 a side football tournament on Saturday 2 October 2021.
The A team played some incredible opposition in some horrendous conditions finishing 3rd in the group, due to goal difference, having drawn twice, won twice and lost once. In a 3rd place play-off match vs groups 2s 3rd place Cranmore the match was extremely close finishing 1-1 so the match had to be settled with penalties. Nico O was superb in goal saving 2 out of 3 penalties (the final one is attached in the video) and Alexander L and Miles Q scored to win the match in penalties by a score of 2-1. This meant the A team secured 5th place overall. Our sportsperson of the tournament was Nico O and Kingston H.

V Cranmore 1-1 Draw 2-1 Win after penalties
The B team also played superbly achieving 2nd place in their group having fought so hard to secure many valuable points only being moved to second place due to goal difference. In their respective 2nd place play-off match they came out victorious securing 3rd place overall.
