Year 5 have started a very exciting project in DT with Mrs Shevill, motor vehicles. In the resistant materials workshop, the children are working with materials and methods to create their cars. They began with the mainframe where precision is key to ensure the car is balanced to drive smoothly. Their next step was to add the wheels and the electrics! The children will eventually design the outer casing of the car where they can get creative with colour and patterns. The children will race their cars at the end of term and their precision in the design stage of the project will be put to the test!
