It was a hugely exciting Friday for the Year 3 girls’ as it was their first-ever hockey fixture. The bad weather did not dampen the lively Year 3 spirits for their first hockey match against Downsend. Every Year 3 girl had the opportunity to play in three 4v4 matches where they all demonstrated excellent teamwork and determination. As the rain came down, the Year 3 girls kept on scoring brilliant goals. Out of eighteen matches, Danes Hill won seven, drew eight and only lost three games, making them the overall winners.
Izzy Gould said “It was amazing! We won! It was SO much fun!”
Reka Jonas said “It was SO exciting – we beat Downsend! Yay!”
A huge well done to all the girls who participated in this fixture and a special mention to the following girls who received player of the match certificates.
