On Friday 11 October seven Danes Hill boys made up an A team selected to play in the KCJS Centenary Football tournament.
We played many great schools and experienced some really tough competition.
The results in our group stage were:
Vs Shrewsbury House School B team we won 4-0
vs Wetherby Prep School we drew 0-0
vs Dulwich Prep A team we won 5-1 Meaning we topped our group.
In the quarter final we played Rokeby winning 3-2 in a back and forth tight match.
Moving into the semi-final we faced Thomas’s Fulham losing narrowly 1-0
This meant we played a match up vs Parkside. We moved our forwards into defence and our defence up front into attack. Ryan had a turn outfield and we came away with a respectable 1-1 draw. This meant we finished joint 3rd out of 23 teams.
A huge well done everyone! Some lovely football was seen by all players and each boy represented the school well.
