On Saturday, the U13A girls hockey team played in the Danes Hill U13 Hockey Tournament. It was a tough five games against some quality opposition as the girls looked to prepare for this weeks IAPS Regional Tournament.
In the opening game, Danes Hill drew 0-0 in a tightly contested match with Cranleigh. Recognising the areas in which they had to improve, the girls then went on a four-game win streak, going the whole tournament unbeaten and without conceding a single goal. A 1-0 win against St Georges was followed by 2-0 wins against Feltonfleet and St Teresas. In the final game of the morning, the girls produced a brilliant display to beat Downsend 3-0.
During the presentation, the girls had the chance to meet Great Britain and England International Hannah Martin who came down to award the prizes and stay for pictures.
