Friday 7 June saw Eco Day take place at Danes Hill. The focus of the day was to create a pledge tree with every single child (and teacher!) in the school making a pledge to the environment. Some examples are as follows:
“I pledge to reduce my use of plastic bags by asking my parents to take reusable bags to the supermarket
I pledge to use my reusable water bottle and say no to plastic bottles
I pledge to reuse delivery packaging
I pledge to eat more vegetarian meals
I pledge to see hand soap instead of soap in a plastic bottle
Children also enjoyed a scavenger hunt and Eco themed lessons in the library, languages, art and science.
