Today in their Geography lesson with Miss Taylor, our Year 6 pupils were creating their very own paper globes. Focusing on their current study topic of lines of longitude and latitude and how these divide the earth. With their flat map of the world, they coloured in the various components that make up our world map such as the Equator, the Greenwich Meridian, the Tropic of Cancer, the International Dateline, land and sea whilst labelling the continents and oceans. Once the map was labelled and coloured they folded the paper to create a round globe!
