Last week Danes Hill School sent four teams totalling 16 skiers, to compete at the annual IAPS ski event, held in Ponte Di Legno Tonale Italy. The competition was intense, with some 28 schools represented and 312 skiers competing over the week. Danes Hill U11 Mixed Team 1 consisting of L Jovanovich, L Bailey-Bain, A Bagshaw and C Edgar took home first place, racing in the championship event, and impressively would have placed 4th if combining the U11 & U13 times, which is a great achievement. Our remaining teams also competed and the results were, U11 Mixed Team 2 finished 10th in their U11 category, the U13 boys team 1 placed 15th and finally our U13 boys team 2 placed 21st in the U13 category. Each skier represented the school extremely well and ski’d superbly, a huge well done!
