On Saturday 13 October, Danes Hill hosted their annual U10A hockey tournament. The U10’s had a strong start beating Edgeborough 1-0. The U10 squad continued to work together in their second game against Royal Russell and showed determination to win 2-0. Hoe Bridge was the opposition for the third match and Danes Hill worked hard to defeat the strong Hoe Bridge side but the game ended 0-0. The St Georges game started well and the U10’s had lots of procession but sadly the game ended 1-0 to the overall winners St George’s. Danes Hill had a fantastic final game against Holy Cross, beating the opposition 2-0. They demonstrated fantatsic team cohesion and space on the hockey pitch. Well done to all the U10A hockey players who achieved 2nd place in the competition and were awards their silver medals. They worked incredibly hard on Saturday, well done girls!
