On a freezing winters morning, the dedicated U11 B and C hockey teams arrived at Downsend ready to compete in their annual hockey tournament. There was some outstanding play by both teams, and the staff were extremely impressed with the improvement that they have made over the term. The B team remained unbeaten throughout the morning and were the deserved recipients of gold medals. The C team despite having the higher possession percentage in all their games struggled to find the back of the net and too many draws led them to a very respectable 3rd place and bronze medal.
Following on from the successes of last weekend, the U11 A and B teams travelled to Notre Dame School to take part in their inaugural tournament. Both teams played some outstanding hockey throughout the afternoon, passing the ball accurately to each other to score some well worked goals. The B team continue to dominate in tournaments having another gold medal to add to their trophy cabinet. The A team played in some extremely competitive games, and demonstrated excellent composure, particularly in a close match against Downsend, which led to the team to be the eventual winners.
