Splash and Dash Success

On Friday 2 December, 28 girls from Year 3 to Year 6 took part in the Splash and Dash Competition at Guildford High School with 10 schools entering the event. This is always an extremely fun competition and is close to our hearts as it is in memory of Heather Garside. To begin the afternoon we took part in a fancy dress parade and performed a group routine and song to the judges. We then took part in a 600m-800m run and a relay swim.

The final results were as follows:

Year 3’s- came 1^st place as a team in the run, with K Johnson finishing 1^st place as an individual and Danes Hill achieving all top 4 positions. They also achieved 3^rd place in the swim.

Year 4’s- came 2^nd place as a team in the run and 4^th place in the swim.

Year 5’s- came 2^nd place as a team in the run and 6^th place in the swim.

Year 6’s- came 1^st place as a team in the run, with G Butler achieving 1^st place as an individual and 5^th place in the swim.

At the end of the competition we were awarded with medals for our 1^st place positions. Out of all of the 10 schools competing we achieved a superb 2^nd place overall.
