On Friday 2 December, 28 girls from Year 3 to Year 6 took part in the Splash and Dash Competition at Guildford High School with 10 schools entering the event. This is always an extremely fun competition and is close to our hearts as it is in memory of Heather Garside. To begin the afternoon we took part in a fancy dress parade and performed a group routine and song to the judges. We then took part in a 600m-800m run and a relay swim.
The final results were as follows:
Year 3’s- came 1st place as a team in the run, with K Johnson finishing 1st place as an individual and Danes Hill achieving all top 4 positions. They also achieved 3rd place in the swim.
Year 4’s- came 2nd place as a team in the run and 4th place in the swim.
Year 5’s- came 2nd place as a team in the run and 6th place in the swim.
Year 6’s- came 1st place as a team in the run, with G Butler achieving 1st place as an individual and 5th place in the swim.
At the end of the competition we were awarded with medals for our 1st place positions. Out of all of the 10 schools competing we achieved a superb 2nd place overall.
Well done to all of the girls who took part.
