On Wednesday 13 September, the senior 2nd and 3rd teams played in the A and B Lingfield Notre Dame Hockey Tournaments. Both teams played some excellent team hockey!
In the pool stage, the team went through as 2nd place. They then played the 1st placed team in the opposite pool, St. John’s. This was an exciting match ending in 0-0 which then went to penalty shuffles. Both teams scored 2 shuffles out of the 3. It then went to sudden death where we scored and they didn’t which meant we went through to the final!
In the final we played Sevenoaks A who are a strong team! We managed to hold them off from scoring and again we finished with a draw. Penalty shuffles once again! 1 goal each after the 3 shuffles and going to the sudden death stage. We scored again and they didn’t. Therefore we were champions!! A great achievement for our first tournament. A special mention must go to poppy Morrison in year 7 who played outstandingly in goal throughout! We are extremely proud of their achievement and hope this success continues this hockey season.
