Danes Hill were extremely excited to welcome Olympic gold medallist hockey players Laura Unsworth and Steve Batchelor to give a fantastic masterclass to girls and boys in Year 7 and Year 8.
Laura is an Olympic gold medallist from the Rio Olympics and also has bronze medal from the London Olympics. Steve was the part of the 1988 gold medal team who really put hockey on the map. The children were treated to a fantastic coaching session, as well as being able to ask questions and were able to wear their prestigious medals.
We hope that the children were really inspired by meeting these fantastic athletes.
