Year One had an exciting day learning about the development of weapons, armour and castle defences. The children tried on mail and a lucky teacher had the opportunity to put on a full set of armour. The children learnt the names for important parts of the castle defences and built a castle which we then knocked down using a trebuchet. The classes also had a very exciting jousting competition in the playground! A most rewarding day was had by all.
