Year 6 Visit Walton Fire Station

13th August 2018

Year 6 had a glimpse into life when a member of the emergency services as they visited Walton Fire Station as part of their PSHEE studies last week.

The children were split into groups and rotated around various different activities at the station. They learnt all about stranger danger, safety on the railways, fire hazards and first aid. The RNLI were also in attendance to explain to the children the potential dangers around water. This, in particular, was quite a timely lesson as they are heading to UKSA on the Isle of Wight during trips week.

It was a very informative and enjoyable day reminding the children, “safety comes first”!  A big thank you to Walton Fire Station for hosting the event.
