Year 3 in Outer Space Experience

It was one giant step for the Year 3 children this week as they took a trip into outer space via a mobile planetarium.

The event was part of the pupils’ science studies about ‘Our Place in Space’ and afforded them plenty of opportunity to show off the knowledge they have learnt in class recently. It was a pleasure to watch the children explore the vast night sky from the North Star, searching for planets and famous constellations. Indeed it was just as pleasing to see the children explore their imaginations, with one claiming Mars was made from rust whilst another gasped that they had nearly been squashed by the moon as it was so big!

All in all, it was a wonderful experience for the children.
