On Wednesday 4 October, our Year 1 students enjoyed a wonderful day trip to Godstone Farm; both children and staff had a great time working with small animals including chickens and rabbits. What a treat it was for the children to learn how to handle these animals! The exciting day out then gave everyone the marvellous opportunity of feeding the pigs, which was certainly a novelty for the children.
The fun continued with a tractor ride around the farm, allowing a little respite for both staff and students, and the chance to see yet more animals, such as ducks and llamas. Walking around the farm as well allowed everyone to see the various animals up close the chipmunks and donkeys were particular favourites.
Perhaps the most thrilling part of the day for the children was the time spent playing in the large outdoor adventure playground, which provided entertainment. Overall, it was a lovely day out for everyone, leaving the children with new experiences and happy memories.
