Shoeboxes for Christmas

13th August 2018

The House Captains and School Council members have joined forces this term and encouraged everyone to join in packing and wrapping Shoeboxes for Christmas. The charity Samaritans Purse have been sending shoebox gifts to war torn and poverty struck countries for many years, providing a little Christmas love to the children and families there. The shoeboxes are packed with toys, educational resources, health care items and warm hats and gloves as well as a lot of love. Every Bevendean class has been able to pack their own shoebox and fill it with Christmas pictures and wishes as well as the gifts.

We have been overwhelmed by the Bevendean response and have been able to send off over 130 shoeboxes to the local distribution centre ready for them to dispatched in time for Christmas. Thank you to all the families and children who have taken part.
