On May 17, the Year 6 public speaking team went with Mrs Whitwam to a competition at Downsend School in Leatherhead where they delivered a witty and thought-provoking speech on table manners.
Jake Thompson was the only speaker of the night who had learned his piece off by heart and he was singled out for his personal tone and humour. Tilly Lodge was an eloquent chairperson and Romilly Thomas won the prize for giving the best Vote of Thanks. Mackenzie Deer was the team manager who helped the team prepare and perform on the night.
