The School Council engaged in a lively Q & A session with the school’s local Member of Parliament, Dominic Raab, in the New Studio on Friday. The 30 Upper School pupils, who have been elected by their tutor groups to represent the student voice, quizzed the MP for Esher and Walton on his political journey and his political priorities. Mr Raab congratulated the children on their sharp and insightful questions which ranged from local issues such as overcrowded trains to national events such as the EU Referendum. He encouraged them to listen to their electorate, especially the ‘silent majority’ who tend not to complain but still need to be heard. Lucy Dwan, the Captain of Council, thanked Mr Raab on behalf of the pupils.
