The Lower School Gardening Club has experienced some immediate success this year, bringing in a great volume of vegetables at its first after-school session.

The young gardeners harvested runner beans, potatoes, carrots, beetroot, marrow, onions and pumpkin. Bevendean’s Head Chef and Mrs De Vere were overwhelmed with the quantity they had produced and very excited at the prospect of cooking up a healthy feast. The children were just as delighted with their produce, particularly the size of the beetroot, carrots and marrow.

Well done to the whole club – we can’t wait to see what you deliver next!
