Girls from Years 7 and 8 congregated with their parents to celebrate another hugely successful sports season last week at the Girls Games Dinner.
As well as their parents, the girls played host to sporting royalty in the form of British Olympian and gold medal winner Helen Richardson-Walsh, MBE. Helen delivered a wonderful and inspiring speech to the girls, who in turn asked some excellent questions.
After a delicious three course meal, the Games captains presented a review of their teams seasons to the audience. It was wonderful to hear about so many successes in such a short space of time! Following that, it was time for the awards. Each captain received a personalised teddy, which were unsurprisingly very well received, whilst there were also awards for effort, outstanding contribution and endeavour.
A big well done to all of the girls and the Games staff for yet another successful year of Danes Hill sport. The dinner was a wonderful evening and a fitting tribute to the sporting successes.
