At Danes Hill, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive and nurturing environment where every child feels known, valued and able to thrive. Our experienced safeguarding team works closely with staff, pupils and families to ensure concerns are identified early and acted upon promptly, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and our safeguarding policies. Through strong relationships, vigilant monitoring and a culture where every voice is heard, we strive to ensure that every pupil is safe, supported and ready to flourish.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) oversees safeguarding and child protection across the school and is supported by trained Deputy DSLs. Pupils, parents and staff are encouraged to contact the DSL directly if they have a safeguarding concern or require support. We are committed to listening, responding appropriately and working together to safeguard every child.
