The Friends of Danes Hill (FODH) are parents who organise fundraising events for pupils, parents and the wider Danes Hill community
FODH Events
As well as raising money for the school and nominated charities, FODH events bring the school community together in a fun and relaxed environment. Highlights of the FODH events calendar include Fireworks Night, the Christmas Fayre, Quiz Night, Family Day/ Summer Fete and the Summer Ball.
FODH Funds
Through these events, FODH have been able to provide funding in recent years for school projects, equipment and activities such as LCD screens, cameras, art and sport equipment. A comprehensive list of positive items needs to be included, such as the new Bevendean playground funding request. Adapt our formal goals once clarity is reached re Adventure Playground.
FODH Reps
Each class has a Class Rep or pair of Reps who is /are a point of contact and liaison between Danes Hill, FODH and the class. The Class Reps provide invaluable information to parents regarding day-to-day school life, organise parent meet ups, help find volunteers for FODH events and are a friendly face for any questions parents may have.
FODH Uniform Shop
FODH run a second hand uniform shop at the Main School. This shop provides a fantastic range of good quality second hand uniform and sports kit and helps raise funds for FODH.
As a committee, FODH carry out an important role in Danes Hill life and have fun at the same time. FODH are always looking for volunteers to help with events. If you would be interested in helping FODH, please email chair@fodh.co.uk or speak to any member of the committee.
