Our Approach
At Danes Hill, pastoral care is not a single department — it is a shared commitment woven through every classroom, playground, and conversation.
We see behaviour as a form of communication and believe that mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow. Through restorative conversations, pupils are supported to reflect on their actions, repair relationships, and re-engage positively with their community.
Our pastoral culture is proactive and relational. We focus on developing emotional literacy, empathy and self-regulation, helping pupils to take increasing responsibility for their own wellbeing and choices.
